Unique cocktail bar located East London
Cocktail bar located East London, inspired by the Brutalist architecture of Carlo Scarpa and the Japanese utilitarian aesthetic together with the industrial setting of Andy Warhol’s New York studio
The space hosts a large communal bar on the ground floor, an intimate dining space on a mezzanine level and a Japanese inspired garden.
The communal bar takes the form of a large monolithic cantilevered polished concrete counter top with a stainless steel clad base which has been geometrically pinched, pulled and stretched to give a heightened sense of the cantilever by making it visually disappear from most viewing angles.
Silver foil and cement plaster is used to finish walls and ceilings throughout the bar and restaurant expressing the raw aesthetic.
