Henderson Road, is a Photographic Location house. The property is a large single fronted, 4 bedroom, Victorian house, based in the ‘Toast Rack’ area of Wandsworth Common, South West London. It’s a new property built from the ground up, but in keeping with many of the traditional Victorian features. Its recently been designed specifically to work as a location, offering many different styles and moods through out the property.
It offers a unique industrial feel in some parts of the house. Then in other rooms it offers a more feminine and romantic feel. The house is spread over 4 floors, with beautiful neutral tiled floors throughout the ground floor. The lower ground offers very unusual high ceilings, which makes the property feel open and spacious from the lower ground to the top of the house. Every room has large traditional sash windows.
Easily accessed via Wandsworth Common overland station, or Clapham Junction via the overland. Parking is free until 11am – 12noon but the other streets in the surrounding neighbourhoods are free during these times. Cars can be bought back after 12.
The Room Details;
Lower Ground floor
A rich masculine ‘Gentleman’s lounge style room. Amazing high ceilings. Bold teal velvet sofa, with a working traditional vintage AMi Continental 60’s Juke box. Glass tiles and large concrete tiles on the walls, to offer surface textures to shoot. A neon light adorns a bright yellow wall to the back of the sofa.
Through large sliding doors from the basement room – This area shows – Concrete effect, ravaged walls, with stark, yet minimal concrete planters with a desert view of Cacti. With a staircase, leading up, to the back garden.
The wall is adorned with beautiful old patina railings, which have been hung floor to ceiling.
Bespoke white panelled wardrobes run a full wall to the end of the hallway.
Beautiful wrought iron feature stairs run through out all the floors of the property.
Black and white Victorian tiles are creating a path to the house. Traditional stained glass front door, leading into a spacious hallway. A bold seated bay with House of Hackney bright pink, bold floral wallpaper and a striped seated cushion.
Parisian Apartment (Front reception room )
Pink and green hand painted – wall murals with an ancient layered green and pink patina Hand painted panels create a unique space through out this room. American tin tiles set across one whole wall, floor to ceiling.
A beautiful concrete grey shaker style Kitchen, runs through out this large open plan Kitchen. Striking black panelling runs floor to ceiling behind the dining table. 2 industrial large drop pendants are the backdrop feature to this unique space. With Aluminium style back doors which open all the way across.
Garden / Terrace
The terrace is a paved area that offers some outsisde space. As the garden is currently a blank canvas as its yet to be completed. This is planned.
First Floor – Master suite
Bohemian Boudoir – Master Bedroom
Soft grey walls, with one Farrow and Ball – Lotus wallpaper feature wall, hand painted vintage side board, A vintage screen and two armchairs with bold tiger print. Rich velvet floral curtains. Studded bedside velvet cabinets and headboard, all gives this room a decadent yet spacious feel.
Master dressing room
Both walls have a full run of dark grey panelled cupboards. A large full length mirror at the end of the room.
Deep grey tones, panelling through out, spacious and clean yet with a modern feel. With accents of industrial with the glass wall lights and floor length smoked mirrors. Separate walk in shower and toilet. Fitted bath is in the main bathroom area.
Kids Bedroom 1
This room has not been photographed and is not finished.
However it has a very sophisticated ensuite with white metro tiles and walk in shower room. Black and white monochrome accents. Available to shoot in if required
Soft grey walls with white skirtings and a lovely curved wall which draws your eye into the space.
This room will make you smile, it will remind of you those fun days spent on the beach sitting on stripy deckchairs. We have red and white with black and white walls, to create a strong playful feel. A restored and reupholstered 60s armchair with a ravaged old bright green chest of drawers, offers a quirky yet unique space to shoot.
A white tile and black accents with large industrial mirror as back drop, with walk in shower and bath. Offers another bathroom space.
