You can write your own Cancellation Policy or you can find our models in "How it works" Cancellation 1.13 Should the Owner (venue) need to cancel they will notify the Renter (you) within a minimum of 30 days notice. Post the 30 day deadline the Owner shall work to the best of their ability to reschedule for a suitable date for the Renter. If there is no date available, then the Renter shall be eligible for a full refund. 1.14 Should the Renter need to cancel they will notify the Owner within a minimum of 30 day’s notice. They will be eligible for a full refund. Should they notify after the 30 days notice, then a % of the hire fee will be kept by the Owner. The breakdown is below:  Up to 24 days before: 50% of hire fee  Up to 14 days before: 75% of hire fee  Up to 72 hours before: 100% of hire fee Force Majeure 1.15 In this clause, 'Force Majeure' means an event or sequence of events beyond a party's reasonable control preventing or delaying it from performing its obligations under this Hire Agreement. The following are a non-exhaustive list of events that are deemed to be Force Majeure events: sickness or illness (evidenced with a doctor’s note), disability, injury or death of Renter, Renter’s family or Renter’s colleagues; an accident to Renter or at the Venue; act of god; civil unrest; terrorism; strike; epidemic; pandemic; major interruption in or delay of transportation services; war conditions; emergencies; severe weather rendering an engagement impossible, infeasible or unsafe. 1.16 Should a force majeure event take place which prevents or delays the Renter’s event then both parties will work to the best of their ability to reschedule. Should no date be available then the Renter shall be eligible for a full refund. 1.17 Neither party will hold the other liable for any financial losses caused by a force majeure event. COVID-19 1.18 Should the event be forced to change or is affected negatively in any way due to COVID-19 restrictions introduced by the government and/or venue, then both parties agree to the following: i) Both parties can agree to postpone the event to a new date, undisrupted by COVID restrictions. All fees will be rolled over to the new date. A new TENs licence may need to be paid by the Renter if applicable. ii) If the Renter wants to continue to host the event under the new COVID restrictions a new hire fee can be re-negotiated between both parties to reflect the changes being made to the event, if applicable. They must inform the Owner of this decision within 1 week of the relevant government announcement. iii) Both parties have the option to cancel the event due to new COVID-19 restrictions announced by the government. Either party must confirm cancellation within 1 week of the relevant government announcement. The Renter will be eligible for a full refund regardless of how close the event date is. iv) Forced/negative changes include but are not limited to: reduced capacity, change of event format, change of event times, noise restrictions, event restrictions. 1.19 The Renter and Owner will not be liable for any potential ‘short notice’ (within 30 days of event date) COVID-19 announcements made by the government that change the event. 1.20 The Renter agrees to follow all necessary COVID-19 protocols carried out by the Owner, if applicable. 1.21 The Renter will publicise all relevant COVID-19 protocols carried out by the Owner to their guests via the appropriate communication channels. 1.22 Neither party will hold the other liable for any financial losses caused by COVID-19 restrictions and/or event cancellations. 1.23 It is the Renter’s responsibility to handle all ticket refunds/notify guests of tickets rolling onto a rescheduled date. 1.24 Both parties are responsible for notifying guests of an event cancellation/postponement via the appropriate communication channels.
